The Grand Hotel San Pietro Taormina, Sicily

It was the beginning of the 20th century when the ancient Villa San Pietro was built by two Danish sisters that were keen on travelling and fond of Island of Sicily. The luxury hotel’s origins began with its name, taken from the old byzantine church consecrated to Saint Peter, a gem stone of beauty just outside the hotel’s gates.
The Grand Hotel San Pietro, a quiet and beautifully maintained luxury retreat, a few minutes walk from the centre of Taormina town, encapsulated by the glorious Sicilian flora that flourishes in this part of the world. Breathtaking views can be enjoyed over the Mediterranean sea and out to the ‘Isola Bella’ (beautiful island), a small emerald promontory that can only be reached at low-tide via a connecting bridge.
